Most residency programs participating in the Main Residency Match® use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS®) offered by the Association of American Medical Colleges®. ERAS is a separate organization and thus requires a separate registration by applicants. Applicants are encouraged to rely on NRMP data reports and survey findings to learn about the success of prior applicants when choosing where to send applications.
Note: In your application, interview, and communication to programs, include your current citizenship or visa status, not your expected status at the time training would begin.

Interviews with residency programs in the Main Residency Match typically begin in October and continue through January. The NRMP Program Rating and Interview Scheduling Manager (PRISM®) mobile app lets you track and rate programs and is available for iPhone and Android platforms. Remember that NRMP policy requires applicants and programs to provide complete, timely, and accurate information during the application, interview, and matching processes.
