how to login

Each user in the NRMP's Registration, Ranking, and ResultsSM (R3SM) system will be identified by a unique number that is 8 digits. This identifier will be linked to an individual rather than to a school, institution, or program and will be used again in matches in future years. The AAMC has developed a process to assign an AAMC ID to users of AAMC services such as MCAT, AMCAS, and the annual meeting. Recognizing that many of the NRMP's users also are AAMC constituents, the NRMP login code will be the same as the AAMC ID. All U.S. medical students are assigned an AAMC ID, as are NRMP institutional officials, medical school officials, and program directors.

Applicants (new registration login)
First time users must register for a Match by clicking on the Register / Login button at the top of this page. Next, click on Applicant Registration and select the appropriate match to begin the registration process. During registration, an AAMC ID will be assigned and you will be allowed to create a password. Please write down the AAMC ID and password for later use.

Institutions and Programs (first time login)
Institutions and programs will be provided their personal AAMC ID and a temporary (one time use only) password from the NRMP. Please login at the NRMP R3 System using the AAMC ID and temporary password provided. Once logged in, you will be asked to change the temporary password to a new permanent password that you create. Please write down the AAMC ID and the new password for later use.

Registered Users (Applicants, Institutions, and Programs)
As a registered user for a Match, you will be able to login to the NRMP R3 System using your AAMC ID and the password that you created. After you login, you will have access to your NRMP account information.

If you need assistance, please refer to the appropriate User Guide.
