Do I have to have my NRMP ID to apply to programs through ERAS?

NRMP IDs are assigned when you register for a Match. Depending on the Match in which you are participating, applications may be sent to programs before the Match opens for registration. The NRMP ID is not a required field on the ERAS application. You can leave the field blank and submit your applications. Once registered with the NRMP, you should update your ERAS profile with your NRMP ID to assist programs in ranking you.
