These applicants are verified by their medical schools to participate in the Match:
- U.S. MD and DO Seniors
- U.S. MD and DO Graduates
- Canadian medical school Seniors and Graduates
Eligibility is based on the graduation requirements of the medical school and anticipated eligbility must be verified by the school no later than the Rank Order List Certification Deadline. Applicants deemed ineligible to graduate by the Deadline will be withdrawn from the Match and SOAP.
IMG applicants are not verified for participation in the Match by their medical school. Before the Rank Order List Certification Deadline, NRMP will verify with the ECFMG that IMG applicants have completed the necessary medical science examination, clinical skills, and communication skills requirements for ECFMG certification.
