New Enhancements to the Website
The NRMP is excited to share with you two new additions to www.nrmp.org:
NEW Match Data webpage: The NRMP maintains a wealth of information about the Main Residency Match®, Specialties Matching Service®, and the various surveys we administer. To make information easy to access, the new Match Data section has been revamped to feature curated, timely content and now offers a robust filter option to help you find current and previously archived data reports by various topics, themes, and years. These enhancements mean fewer ‘clicks’ and more direct access to quality Match data. Contact support@nrmp.org with questions or to seek assistance with the new Match Data section.
NEW Insights webpage: The NRMP is also proud to launch its new Insights webpage. The Insights page has been designed to provide streamlined access to information about NRMP educational, thought leadership, and community engagement activities. The webpage contains articles, white papers, position statements, interviews, presentations and content about other Match initiatives that we’ve shared with you over the years but is now housed in one place. With Insights, it is easier to see how the NRMP is leveraging opportunities to encourage and inform the medical education community and national discussions about residency, fellowship, and the physician workforce. Contact admin@nrmp.org with questions or for more information about Insights.
We hope you take a moment to view these enhancements to the website and dive deeper into the Match!
Policy Corner: Match Participation Agreements for the 2025 Main Residency Match

New Advising Video on Choosing Residency Programs
NRMP is launching a series of videos to assist applicants in navigating the application, interview, and matching process.
Our first video features program directors and medical school advisors giving advice to applicants on how to choose programs to apply to as well as what criteria and qualities previous Match applicants looked for in programs.
Biggest takeaway for applicants when choosing programs? Take time to reflect on your future goals. Make sure the programs you apply to align with your own personal mission and values.
Share the video with your 2025 Match applicants and stay tuned for more videos throughout the Match season!
Match News and Reminders
New This Year! Program Directory for Main Residency Match Applicants
We highly encourage medical school advisors and faculty to share the Program Directory with Main Residency Match applicants.
With multiple application services now available to applicants, the Program Directory provides additional support to applicants in their considerations of training this year.
The Program Directory displays participating program information and the application service programs are using, where provided, for over 6,000 PGY-1 and PGY-2 programs participating in the NRMP’s Main Residency Match. Key program information also includes locations, links to the institution and program websites, NRMP program code, and program type.
We hope this resource is valuable for applicants as the 2025 Main Residency Match season begins!
