NRMP® Response to the Fake Statement on Integrity Screening for Residency Applications
The NRMP has been made aware of a statement, purportedly released by the NRMP, regarding “integrity screening” and the use of AI-generated content in residency applications that has been circulated on social media. This statement is fake and was not issued by the NRMP. The NRMP has not taken any stance on the use of AI-generated content or “integrity screening”, nor do we provide guidance to programs on screening candidates in the residency application process.
Throughout our 72-year history, the NRMP has strived to maintain a fair, equitable, and transparent matching process, serving as an impartial anchor in the transition to residency. The NRMP has worked diligently to ensure that international medical graduate (IMG) applicants have equitable access to the Match and are represented in our data and on our Board of Directors. This attempt to undermine the integrity of the matching process does not reflect the values or mission of the NRMP.
All official statements released by the NRMP are available on our website at www.nrmp.org. If you have additional questions, please contact us at media@nrmp.org.
