Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Programs Join the Match for 2026 Appointments

The NRMP^® is pleased to announce that Forensic Psychiatry has joined the Specialties Matching Service^® offering programs a centralized process for conducting fellowship recruitment.  The American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law led the organizing effort on behalf of Forensic Psychiatry and will serve as the sponsoring organization for their participation, with approximately 55 programs and 125 positions joining the Match.

The inaugural Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Match will be held in 2025 for training that begins in 2026.

Match Registration Opens: August 6, 2025

Rank Order List Opens: September 3, 2025

Program Quota Change and Withdrawal Deadline: September 17, 2025

Rank Order List Certification Deadline: October 8, 2025

Match Day: October 22, 2025
