The Rehabilitation Medicine Match includes the following subspecialties:

Brain Injury Medicine

Brain Injury Medicine addresses the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of person with brain injury, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of related medical, physical, psychosocial, and vocational disabilities and complications during the lifetime of the patient. Additional information can be found through the Association of Academic Physiatrists.

Applicants must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology or Psychiatry.

Typical Fellowship Length

Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine

Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of congenital and childhood-onset physical impairments. Additional information can be found through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Two years in length for applicants who have completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Or one years in length for applicants who have completed a residency in Pediatrics in addition to a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency or a combined Pediatrics/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
