Charting Outcomes™: Characteristics of U.S. DO Seniors Who Matched to Their Preferred Specialty: 2026 Main Residency Match® 

This report examines how applicant attributes affect Match outcomes in the Main Residency Match®, with a focus on matching to preferred specialty. Thirteen measures are examined in this report and include the number of contiguous ranks in preferred specialty, the number of distinct specialties ranked, USMLE® Step 2 CK score, COMLEX-USA® Level 2-CE score, and the median numbers of research, work, and volunteer experiences. Historically a biennial report, this report will now be released annually.
