NRMP® Releases 2025 Main Residency Match Outcomes and Demographic Reports

The National Resident Matching Program^® (NRMP^®) is excited to announce that the Results and Data: 2025 Main Residency Match® is now available.  View the information below for detailed outcomes of the 2025 Main Residency Match.

Results and Data is an annual, comprehensive report that presents position fill rates, Match and Placement Rates, and Match outcomes.

Chief of Match Operations Jeanette Calli provides a recap of the 2025 Main Residency Match and Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP). After the matching algorithm was processed and SOAP concluded, there was a 99.4% overall fill rate.

Findings of the demographic data collection from applicants of the Main Residency Match (The Match^®) have been updated to include data for the 2025 Match Year. This report aims to encourage discussion about relationships among the unique characteristics of applicants, the specialties they pursue, and their experience in the Match.
