The National Resident Matching Program^® (NRMP^®) is excited to announce that the Results and Data: 2026 Main Residency Match® and Charting Outcomes™: Demographic Characteristics of Applicants in the Main Residency Match® and SOAP® reports are now available.  View the information below for detailed outcomes of the 2026 Main Residency Match.

Results and Data is an annual, comprehensive report that presents position fill rates, match and placement rates, and Match outcomes.

Findings of the demographic data collection from applicants of the Main Residency Match (The Match^®) have been updated to include data for the 2026 Match Year. This report aims to encourage discussion about relationships among the unique characteristics of applicants, the specialties they pursue, and their experience in the Match.
