NRMP® is Excited to Welcome Three Specialties to the Pathology Match

The NRMP is pleased to announce Hematopathology, Molecular Genetic Pathology, and Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology will participate in the Specialties Matching Service^® in 2025. The Society for Hematopathology has led the organizing effort on behalf of Hematopathology and will serve as the sponsoring organization for their participation, with approximately 69 programs and 122 positions joining the Match. The Association for Molecular Pathology will serve as the sponsoring organization for Molecular Genetic Pathology, with approximately 42 programs and 67 positions participating in the Match. The International Society of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology will serve as the sponsoring organization for Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology, with approximately 12 programs and 13 positions joining the Match.

These three new specialties will join Forensic Pathology in a multi-specialty Pathology Fellowship Match opening in February 2025 for the 2026 appointment year. The Match will have the following schedule:

Match Registration Opens: February 5, 2025

Rank Order List Opens: March 12, 2025

Program Quota Change and Withdrawal Deadline: April 2, 2025

Rank Order List Certification Deadline: April 16, 2025

Match Day: April 30, 2025
