Neuroendovascular Intervention and Neurosurgical Oncology Fellowship Programs Join the Match

The NRMP^® is excited to announce that Neuroendovascular Intervention and Neurosurgical Oncology have joined the Specialties Matching Service^® offering programs a centralized process for conducting fellowship recruitment. The inaugural matches for both specialties will be held in 2026 for the 2027 appointment year.

Over the past several months, the NRMP has been working with the sponsoring organizations for each specialty to ensure a successful Match opening on February 11. The Society of Neurointerventional Surgery will serve as the sponsoring organization for Neuroendovascular Intervention. The specialty will have approximately 50 programs with 75 positions joining the Match. The NRMP also has been working with the Society of Neurological Surgeons (SNS) Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training (CAST) who will serve as the sponsoring organization for Neurosurgical Oncology. The specialty will have approximately 25 programs with 30 positions joining the Match.

Match Registration Opens: February 11, 2026

Rank Order List Opens: March 25, 2026

Program Quota Change and Withdrawal Deadline: April 15, 2026

Rank Order List Certification Deadline: April 29, 2026

Match Day: May 13, 2026
