Registering in the R3 System
Program and institution staff must be registered users of the Registration, Ranking, and Results (R3) system in order to participate in the NRMP Matching Program.
New to The Match?
- First-time users of the R3 system receive an email on the day Match registration opens that contains an R3 system token link to access the system, register, and create a user account. Users who have not yet received a token link or who have difficulty redeeming the token should contact NRMP at support@nrmp.org for assistance.
- During registration, users create a permanent, unique username and password for the R3 system. This information belongs to the individual, not the institution, program, or medical school, and it is a violation of the Match Participation Agreement if a user allows another individual to use personal login credentials to access the R3 system.
Returning to The Match?
Credentials for institution and program users carries over from previous Matches. Returning users must log in to the R3 system to complete registration for each new Match in which they participate.
