When is the deadline to download my Specialties Matching Service (fellowship) Match reports?
Each Fellowship Match has its own deadline, typically about six months after Match Day. Consult the table of Match Events for the Match of interest in the R3 system to determine the closing date, which represents the deadline for downloading your Match reports.

I want to administer a survey to all applicants and/or program directors in a specialty. Can the NRMP distribute the survey for me, provide contact information for potential study participants so I can reach out to them, or send out a message promoting my study?
The NRMP’s policy is not to broker surveys nor to promote research studies on behalf of external researchers. The NRMP also does not release contact information for its constituents.
Can I use or cite NRMP data in research or educational products like articles to be submitted to journals, conference presentations, book chapters, or technical reports?

Yes, data and survey reports released by the NRMP can be accessed from the Match Data webpage. Reports are separated into a variety of topics such as Main Residency Match and SOAP Outcomes, Fellowship Match Outcomes, Applicant Demographics, and more. Program results are released in the R3 system and sent via email. The Specialties Matching Service Results and Data report features five-year trend data by specialty on number of programs, positions, and applicants as well as match rates.
How do I submit a data request?
Requests for unpublished data or research files must be submitted using the Data Release Application. Download and complete the Data Release Application Form, and click “Submit” to email the completed form to the Data Request Team.
